Get out amongst wilderness and grow your skills

Every Tuesday from the 23rd of February till the 16th of March  |  3:30pm- 6:30pm. 

Special Addition: Overnight Camp (departing 4:00pm Friday 26th March & Returning 3:00pm Saturday 27th March)

Join us on a five (5) week outdoor programme where we dive into the wild! Your child will learn a variety of exciting skills. Over the four (4) Tuesday sessions you will experience trapping, fishing, rogaining and a firearms safety session.

During the final week, we will head out and put all our skills to the test in an overnight camping adventure!

This hands on programme enables our participants to have a unique and exciting experience like no other.

when does the programme run?

The following dates and times are when our ‘Into the Wild’ programme runs:

  • Session One | Tuesday 23rd February – 3:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Session Two | Tuesday 2nd March – 3:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Session Three | Tuesday 9th March – 3:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Session Four | Tuesday 16th March – 3:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Overnight Camp | Departing 4pm Friday 26th March & Returning 3pm Saturday 27th March

What location is the programme:

Each week your child meets at The Hangout and we then transport them off site to our weekly designated location. The pick up location is also The Hangout!

what is the Overnight camp?

Cromwell Youth Trust want to offer learning opportunities where our young people can take on the skills they have learnt over the programme and then test these sills out in the wilderness – under the supervision of Youth Workers.

Further details of the camp will be provided closer to the time.

Please note – CYT aim to reduce barriers in all our programmes. We have stock of sleeping bags, tents, hiking packs and gear for all to be able to attend.

what should my child bring:

We are proud to provide programmes that are all inclusive.

Some other things your child should bring along include:

  • Water Bottle
  • Appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor activities
  • Extra Snacks (optional)

For the Overnight Camp there will be a full gear list sent out closer to the date

My child can only come for a couple of dates, can we pay for the ones they only attend?

We hope your child could attend all sessions as they all are different and exciting. The programme is a one off cost and not weekly and there will not be any refund for missed dates – due to programme costs.


Programmes developed and operated by Cromwell Youth Trust are designed to provide youth with the opportunity to have an enjoyable and fun experience in a safe and supportive environment. Our goals are to also support the development of essential life skills through experiential learning. All of our programmes are monitored by our experienced Youth Workers.
